Jessy Dixon, World Famous Gospel Singer | |
Jessy Dixon took Framlingham England and its castle by storm before a near capacity audience. His warmth, enthusiasm and talent had the audience singing, clapping and dancing to a wide range of gospel songs, some of them familiar and many of which he had written himself. By the time the party was over including a prolonged encore of 'Oh Happy Days' everyone was on their feet. In the organiser Charity Quinn's own words 'Framlingham has never seen anything like this before'. Jessy dropped several friends' names into the conversation between songs, including Martin Luther King, Diana Ross and Paul Simon, but the biggest name he kept on dropping was Jesus. |

I know that time is running out for folks to be saved, because this God you sing about is going to return soon, and it's important that we reach as many for Christ as we can. Your singing does exactly this. Your ministry is certainly winning souls for Christ. Thank you.

Hello Jessy,
Thank you very much for your concert here in the Faroe Islands last night. It was great to listen to your songs and hopefully you will be back here next year. The last time I heard you live here was at a concert in Copenhagen, that was also a very special evening. We are many here as you know who loves watching you on the Gaither Homecoming Series, so it would be great if you could bring some of those friends with you next time.

Dear Jessy:
My wife and I just wanted you to know what a blessing you are to the Gaither Homecoming Friends, and how much we enjoy your singing in their concerts. My particular favorite of all is your rendering of "I've Got Leavin' On My Mind," when you were sitting next to James Blackwood. How wonderful that was.
Love, D & B.D.

I was so much blessed by your songs "Lord prepare me to be a Sanctuary" and "I will praise you Lord with every breath I take." Would you be prepared to come to Namibia to bless our young people with your music. I love the warmth and the truthfulness with which you express your worship to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I believe you would be able to make an impact to the Glory of the Lord.
With appreciation,

Hi Jessy, Just a note to tell you that you are my favorite Gospel singer. I have a lot of Gaither videos and I watch them over and over. I finally got to see you with the Gaithers in Memphis in 99. It was a blessing of a life time. I thank God for you and your wonderful music. I even got to have my picture taken with you. I have it on my refrigerator. Your music really blesses me. God bless you and I hope 2001 is a wonderful year for you and your music. Thank you, your #1 fan.

Hi Jessy,
My name is Lisa, and I just wanted to write and tell you how much your music has touched my life. I was going through some very tough times in my life, and I popped in your CD and listened to '"God On The Mountain." That song has kept me going, and pulled me out of some really dark places in my life, and no one does it like you do!! I just wanted to thank you for sharing your talent with the world, and spreading the Gospel through song.
"Keep on singing."
Blessings

Dearest Jessy, I first became acquainted with you, and "your Remarkable Singing," when I watched you on the Gaither videos. I saw you in concert in Roanoke, VA last week, and I must tell you I was overwhelmed. WHAT A BLESSING I RECEIVED!!! God has given you such a talent, words just can't express it. I could feel the love of God, your faithfulness to him, and your truly believing in the words you were singing, flowing out of you as you sang those songs. It was an extraordinary testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ. May He bless you and keep you singing til His return...
Sincerely, C.H.

Dear Mr. Dixon, I just wanted to let you know how much you have changed my life. Until 2 years ago I had never followed southern gospel music, the Gathers, and you. My mother from South Eastern, KY had come to FL to visit me. Along she had a set of the Gaither videos and your video. At that time my granddaughter was born and she cried all the time, so one day my mother asked to put in your video and let me tell you from that day on she never cried, and would swing all day listening to your music. From that day forward everyday around 11:00 am, I would watch your video and listen to your music. I finally got the opportunity to go to several of your concerts. You and your music has changed my life.

Dear Jessy,
Just letting you know, that yes, there are some people even here in Hungary who feel very blessed by your music. You are sure not the servant who hid his talent!None of us necessary have to be a christian to get emotional by listening to or singing a touching song. But to sing the way you do "Gone", the way I am listenig to it,no doubt :only the love of God can lift you to that standard!
I wish you lots of strength to carry on with this amazing work, and I wish for some time as well to bring your music to countries you have never been before...Hungary,etc.,etc.,
God bless you and your team,
Love:

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful concert. It was very exciting and uplifting. I also want to thank you for taking the time to sign a picture for my son. I know this is something you do each night, but it meant a lot to him. This was the fifth Gaither Homecoming Concert we have been to and we still enjoy them as much as we did the first one. I appreciate the effort you put forth in your shows. My son had to write a paper on heroes for his 10th grade English class a few weeks ago and he wrote about people like you and the Homecoming Friends. Thank you for being someone he can admire and look up to. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Jessy we are playing the CD's that we got from you over and over and will soon learn the words to all of your songs. We just Pray that someday we can emulate the sound. You are so Blessed with all of that skill. The couple that was with us are normally very conservative, they were on their feet clapping and shouting MORE - MORE Jessy, as you performed and began to wind down. They like us will never forget JESSY DIXON the NUMBER ONE GOSPEL CHRISTIAN SINGER IN THE WORLD. Jessy your part of the show in San Antonio made the 300 mile trip worth while!

I will keep watching you and trying to dance like you do, (in the privacy of my living room . . . smile) I guess I have to have rhythm inside first eh? Hahaha.

Mr. Dixon,
I want to let you know how much my dying husband loved to hear you sing. My husband past away on February 6, 2001. He loved to hear you sing about God's Love and about His Glory. Teddie also said that he knew that you had the power of Lord in your body and feet, by the way you got into your music. On Teddie's dying bed on 2-5-01, the pastor and his wife was called to come to my home, because Teddie wouldn't be here through the night. My beloved Teddie had cancer of the mouth and throat, he was in a lot of pain, but bless his heart he never complained. Yes he was saved and sanctified. Anyway, we were playing Bill Gather Homecoming and we thought Teddie was taking his last breath, and all of a sudden you came on singing "Standing On The Bank of Jordan." All I said was Teddie there's your man, Jessy, and he rosed straight up in the bed. It was like Lazarus rose from the dead when you started singing. He stayed with me one more day, but now he's with the Lord. I told my pastor that I would find a way to let you know how much we love you and your singing.
Thank you and God Bless in all you do,
Patricia King

Dear Jessy,
I first saw you on Paul, and Jan's TBN telethon. Jessy I just want you to know how much God has used you to bless me. I'm not sure how to put all this into words...but I'll try. Your freedom in the Lord is such a blessing. You are definitely anointed of the Lord, and your ability to communicate the lyrics in any, and all songs is awesome! You are without a doubt "The Greatest Communicator," ever on earth. I give God all the glory, and praise, because all that communication you have comes from Him.

Dear Jessy,
You are absolutely awesome!!! I love hearing you sing, but more I love seeing you sing and how you get into your songs. Being raised in a Pentecostal preacher's family , I appreciate seeing people "feel the spirit" of the music. Please don't ever lose that. Thank you so much for your contribution to the Gaither Videos....I Love all the Gaither people, but when you come on with one of your songs, it just makes me feel I got even more for my money. Love and prayers in Texas.

We buy all of your CD's, and we get your autograph, and then you put your arm around my mother, and it makes her feel so good. You will be coming to worcester, and we cannot wait for it to come. We love you alot Jessy.

Hi Jessy,
All of us (even the Big Guys I expect) need to be praised once in a while. Perhaps though that is the wrong word, I praise the Lord and will brag on you. You are truly the best as far as I'm concerned. I feel like you are my friend, because I feel like you are truly a child of God.
